Hypnosis-- a bridge between sexuality and spirituality

  It is that same power of hypnosis to capture the imagination and to quickly transform a person that makes it an ideal tool for erotic ritual. A good hypnotic subject can be turned on by suggestions to be open to and follow the the erotic spirit of the group without the usual fears and embarrassment.  These subjects will in a sense be invoking the erotic spirit and paving the way for others to follow their lead.   The hypnotic trance is similar to the trance from meditation or chanting or dancing or other ritual forms.  In fact, some Native American traditions invoke power animals (especially birds) through masks and dancing as a way to connect with the Great Spirit.

Here is a vision I have had that blends hypnosis, sexuality, and spirituality:

You are in a group of hot men, feeling safe enough to allow yourself to be touched affectionately and sexually, surprised at how turned on you are by so many different men.  A ritual sound takes over the group and you are making  small  movements together as you go into a deeper trance, your individual boundary blurs as you sense yourself merging into one with the erotic spirit of the group pulsating through.    You've had glimpses of this before but the reality is so much more......

  In therapy, hypnosis is used for personal change, but in a social context such as this one, perhaps it could be used to heal our relationships and the ways we are with each other erotically.
